Matchable Terms & Conditions

Who we are.
Matchable For Innovation & Artificial Intelligence Research (“Matchable”, “we”, “us”) provides event-networking tools that help organizers and attendees discover relevant people, coordinate meetings, and measure engagement (the “Services”).

By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1) Roles & scope

  • Organizer vs. Matchable. For data tied to a specific event, the Organizer controls what is collected and why; Matchable processes that data to run the event features.

  • Platform use. For accounts, support, analytics, billing, and our website/app, Matchable is the provider and controller.

  • These Terms apply to all users (organizers, attendees, sponsors, visitors). Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

2) Eligibility & accounts

  • You must be 18+ and able to form a binding contract.

  • Keep your account details accurate and your password secure. You’re responsible for activity under your account.

  • We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws.

3) Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Services. For example, you must not:

  • Break the law, violate privacy, or infringe IP rights.

  • Harass, spam, scrape, or probe vulnerabilities.

  • Upload unlawful, misleading, or harmful content.

  • Try to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the Service.
    We may remove content or restrict access to protect users and the platform.

4) Organizers’ responsibilities

If you are an Organizer, you agree to:

  • Provide clear attendee notices; collect only data you legitimately need; obtain any required consents (e.g., for marketing or messaging).

  • Upload only lawfully obtained attendee data; keep it accurate; honor attendee rights requests.

  • Use the Services in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable laws (including UAE PDPL).

  • Not use the Service to send unlawful communications or collect special-category data unless lawful and necessary.

5) Attendee experience

  • Attendees may create profiles, receive match suggestions, send/accept meeting requests, receive .ics calendar invites, and see relevant event information.

  • You can edit your profile, manage consents, and opt out of non-essential communications at any time (see Privacy Policy).

6) Plans, fees, and taxes

  • Subscriptions & add-ons. If you purchase a plan or add-ons, fees are typically billed in advance; taxes (e.g., UAE VAT 5%) may apply.

  • Per-event or rev-share models. If you use a per-event or revenue-share option, you authorize us to calculate and invoice according to the chosen model.

  • Non-payment. We may suspend access for overdue amounts.

  • Refunds. Except where required by law or stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable once the billing period starts.

7) Content & IP

  • Your content. You retain your rights to content you submit. You grant Matchable a limited license to host, display, transmit, and process that content as needed to operate the Services and comply with law.

  • Our IP. The Services, software, brand, and content we provide are owned by Matchable or our licensors. No rights are granted except as set out in these Terms.

  • Do not use our marks or UI in a way that suggests endorsement without written permission.

8) Third-party services

The Services may integrate or link to third-party tools (e.g., email/SMS providers, ticketing, maps). Your use of those tools is subject to their terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

9) Beta & changes

Some features may be labeled beta or pilot and are provided as-is. We may modify or discontinue features at any time. We’ll try to notify you of material changes that affect your use.

10) Privacy

Our Privacy Policy (short form) explains what we collect, how we use/share it, retention, international transfers, and your rights. By using the Services, you acknowledge that processing.

11) Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, or that the Services will meet your needs.

12) Liability limit

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Matchable will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Services will not exceed the amounts you paid to Matchable for the Services in the 12 months before the claim.

13) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Matchable from claims arising out of your unlawful use of the Services, your content, or your breach of these Terms or applicable laws.

14) Term & termination

  • You may stop using the Services at any time.

  • We may suspend or terminate access for any breach, risk to users, or legal/compliance reasons.

  • Upon termination, your right to access the Services ends. Data handling after termination is governed by the Privacy Policy and any applicable organizer agreement.

15) Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai.
Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if unresolved, by binding arbitration under DIAC Rules in Dubai, in English. Either party may seek urgent injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction.

16) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we’ll provide a clear notice (e.g., in-product or by email). Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
