Who we are.
Matchable For Innovation & Artificial Intelligence Research (“Matchable”, “we”, “us”) provides tools that help event organizers and attendees discover relevant people, schedule meetings, and measure engagement.

Scope.
This Policy explains, in simple terms, how we handle personal data on our websites, apps, and event-matching services (the “Services”).

1) Roles & responsibility

Organizer as Controller; Matchable as Processor. For data tied to a specific event (attendee lists, check-ins, matches, surveys), the Organizer decides the purpose and means; Matchable processes that data on the Organizer’s instructions.
Matchable as Controller. For platform accounts, support, product analytics, billing, and our marketing, Matchable is the Controller.

2) What we collect (high level)

Account & profile: name, email, role/title, company, interests/goals, profile photo or links you add.
Event activity: registrations, check-ins, matches/requests, basic messages, simple feedback/ratings.
Technical data: device, IP, logs, cookies for basic functionality and analytics.
Billing (organizers only): contact and transaction records handled via payment providers.

We do not seek sensitive data. Organizers should avoid collecting it unless clearly necessary and lawful.

3) Why we use data

Provide the Service: accounts, matching, meeting coordination, reminders, check-in, and event summaries.
Improve & secure: troubleshoot, protect against misuse, and enhance features.
Support & admin: respond to requests, run reports for Organizers, manage subscriptions.
Communications: essential service messages; optional product updates if you opt in.
Legal compliance: taxes, audits, lawful requests.

4) Legal bases (PDPL/other)

We rely on: contract (to deliver the Service), consent (for optional items like marketing or certain Organizer-defined fields), legitimate interests (security, quality, reasonable analytics), and legal obligations (where applicable). When we act as Processor, we follow the Organizer’s documented instructions.

5) Sharing (limited and purpose-bound)

With the Organizer of your event and their authorized staff.
With other attendees to the extent needed for matching and meetings.
With service providers (hosting, email/SMS, analytics, payments) under confidentiality and security obligations.
If required by law or to protect rights and safety.
Business transfers (e.g., merger) where the successor honors this Policy.
We do not sell personal data.

6) International transfers

We may use infrastructure or providers outside your country. Where required, we apply appropriate transfer safeguards.

7) Retention (simple rules)

Accounts & profiles: kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, then deleted or de-identified.
Event datasets: retained for a reasonable period after the event to support reporting and re-use at future events, then deleted or de-identified per Organizer instructions or our standard timelines.
Billing records: kept as required by law.

8) Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data. No system is perfect; if a significant incident affects your data, we will notify the relevant Organizer and/or users as required by law.

9) Your choices & rights

Subject to applicable law, you may access, correct, delete, object/restrict, port, and withdraw consent (for consent-based uses).

For event data, contact your Organizer; we’ll assist them.
For platform/account data, contact support@matchable.work.
You can opt out of marketing at any time.

10) Cookies

We use cookies and similar tech for sign-in, preferences, security, and basic analytics. Where required, we will request consent for non-essential cookies.

11) Organizer responsibilities (summary)

Organizers must:

Provide clear attendee notices and obtain any required consents.
Upload only lawfully obtained data.
Honor attendee rights requests.
Avoid collecting sensitive data unless necessary and lawful.

12) Children

The Services are for users 18+. If you believe a minor provided data, contact us and we’ll take appropriate action.

13) Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we’ll provide a clear notice. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy.
